ModCon PC Interface

ModCon PC Interface - a user-friendly interface to all the functionality of the ModCon board

ModCon PC Help

ModCon PC Help - the help file associated with the ModCon PC Interface program. Download and save to the same location as the ModCon PC Interface program.

If you find blank pages or you cannot open the help file, do the following:

1. Right-click the .chm file, and then click Properties.

2. Click Unblock.

If this does not work, you need to copy the .chm file to a Flash disk or the local hard disk.

(This restriction on opening .chm files from a network is due to a Microsoft Security Update).

  Version Information

V1.19b - 7 August 2015 - Update to the PC interface only. The PC interface now uses common components for Window 64-bit support, and takes into account access permissions for saving on the Faculty network.

V1.19a - 2 October 2007 - Update to the PC interface only. The maximum "Time / div" for the graphs has been extended to 500 s / div. The PC graph timebase is also set to the value used by the ModCon board when starting the PC interface.

V1.19 - 24 May 2007 - Update to the ModCon firmware and PC interface. This fixes a bug when linking floating-point libraries. You only need to upgrade to this if you negate a floating-point quantity. If the ModCon board is upgraded to V1.19, you will need to upgrade the Control.zip files as well (cut the text of your control.c across to the new control.c).

V1.18a - 23 May 2007 - Update to the PC interface only. When the PC is busy (e.g. talking on the network) the PC can lose packets from the ModCon. Resynchronizing with the packets occasionally caused a crash when a "valid" packet was received but the analog channel information was out of range for graphing. Also fixed a bug where the reference value was not being sent on starting the controller (it defaulted to zero until a change occurred).

V1.18 - 17 May 2007 - Update to the ModCon firmware to fix a bug in resetting all variables to zero when the controller is stopped.

V1.17 - 11 May 2007 - Update to the ModCon firmware and PC interface. This fixes a bug when linking floating-point libraries and simplifies the C coding by using #defines for the variables.

V1.16a - 3 May 2007 - Update to the PC interface only. Arbitrary channel assignment to the dual and quad graphs is now supported. Help files have been updated to reflect this change.

V1.16 -  27 April 2007 - Initial release.
